Our Three Herb Formula
Skin Rescue Oil began as a personalised formula created for a woman struggling with Psoriasis, severely inflamed, weeping dry and damaged skin. Her skin was often cracked, bleeding and weeping, and after years of trying countless treatments, she was searching for something gentle enough to support her skin when it needed it most.
Wanting to keep the formula as simple as possible, we returned to three herbs that have earned a permanent place in our apothecary:
🌼 Calendula – traditionally valued for its soothing and calming properties.
🌿 Yarrow – traditionally used to support irritated and troubled skin.
🌸 Comfrey – traditionally valued for supporting damaged and stressed skin.
These herbs are slowly infused into organic olive oil to create a simple, nourishing botanical oil with no added fragrance, no essential oils and no unnecessary extras.
Skin Rescue is ideal for skin that feels:
• Dry and uncomfortable
• Irritated and reactive
• Fragile or damaged
• In need of extra care and nourishment
While our much-loved Skin Calm Balm continues to support many families dealing with dry skin, eczema and dermatitis, Skin Rescue was created for those times when skin needs something even simpler and gentler.
At Rata & Smudge, we believe plants are clever — we just put them together.

Customer Story
“What started as a personalised formula has become one of my favourite products. My mum burst into tears when she saw the improvement, and even my doctor was amazed. I feel like shouting it from the rooftops.”
